These words have been with me for a while now and I wanted to put in words what they mean to me. Their definitions don't do them justice I think.
To me the nationalist is a person who will blindly follow whatever actions the nations leaders say to do. They will claim that they are patriots and would defend the country if it came to it, but what they are forgetting is that maybe they would have to defend themselves from their own government. The nationalist is the sheep of our country, they follow the leaders, they BAA for their leaders, they give praise to their leaders even when their leader is wrong or putting them into danger or taking advantage of them. They will join their country"s military service with pride for the fact that dying for their country is a honor and privilege, never questioning their leader of why or for what purpose. What would the harm be in being a Nationalist? Blind faith, ignorance, oppression, all of that and more in the name of not having to think for yourself?
Now the patriot, ah yes the true patriot. The ones who act according to what is right not what Big Brother says, the ones who are watching the actions of their leaders to hold them accountable for what they do and have done. The Patriot is the one who will give his life in defense of his country, his family , his friends and he will do it regardless of the status of threat, foreign or domestic. The patriot is the one who looks into things, educates himself and tries to educate others, the ones who seek the answers to questions that need to be asked. Patriotism is truly for those few who are awake enough to realize that there is a problem and we need to find the solution before we are all doomed.
There is a difference between the patriot and the nationalist. The Nationalist will stand up WITH their government, the Patriot will stand up TO it.

i agree for the most part the sad thing is that alot of our young ppl esp have been "dummied down" through our school systems and taught not to question. I think it is sad for them and i have met a few who woke up while they were in iran or iraq so all we can do is hope and pray they see the light; some won't the adults are the ones that frustrate me by allowing themselves to stay in the box because fear of their security is what keeps them there; for alot of ppl it isn't until tragedy strikes them that they wake up and see the truth. too many ppl are brainwashed by our media and our job is to reach as many as we can even while being called crazy or a conspiracy theorist never know what seed we may have planted; thank you for putiing up this blog
Patriot til the end! So many reasons people blindly follow government. But mostly bc it the hand that feeds.at this point govt jobs outway private and ssi and disability and welfare outway jobs.its the government who gives "errbody "(sarcasm) paychecks.I am afraid it just a means of control bc those of us work hard to make our own money are poorest .that's where you'll find most patriots.bread and circuses is the American way I'm afraid.
